As the second-largest fundraiser benefiting an HIV/AIDS organization in Canada, the Toronto-Montreal Friends for Life Bike Rally is a national story.
They are a community of ordinary people doing something extraordinary in support of the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation (PWA). Since its inception in 1999, the Bike Rally has raised over $5 million for PWA.
As seen last year on City TV, CFTO News, CBC and Global Television, as well as on radio stations and in newspapers across Ontario, their colourful and energetic group of riders and support crew make a resounding splash wherever they go. In the process, they raise big awareness and big money to support people living with HIV and AIDS in Toronto.
On July 24, 2011, more than 400 people will embark on a six-day, 600 km journey from Toronto to Montreal. Riders of all ages and levels of experience and crew supporting a variety of activities along the route will unite in their passion to support people living with HIV/AIDS. Join the Friends For Life Bike Rally for fitness, for charity, for the love of community and friendship, and to make a positive difference.
